Betty Ball Takes New Role In Club
Betty Ball stepped down from her club president responsibilities to take
on new challenges as the club's Political Action Chair. Betty's
drive and dedication have been instrumental in making the Lake
San Marcos Club one of the great success stories in the county.
Betty will be helping Mary Borevitz, our new club President,
and will be working as hard as usual as a regional coordinator
for the Grassroots Organizing (GO) Team. The club will always
be grateful for the Betty's dedication to the
club.

Members of our club attended the annual CA State Democratic Convention in Los Angeles April 16, 17, and 18th. Our members heard many state leaders such as Jerry Brown, Senator Barbara Boxer and Secretary of State Debra Bowen as well as Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi speak of the urgent need to elect more Democrats to support President Obama’s agenda. The convention was an exciting venue as Democrats from across the State were encouraged to get involved in getting out the vote for the June 8th Primary election.
